Why should reverse osmosis membrane be flushed

After entering the reverse osmosis system, the feed water is divided into two paths. One path passes through the surface of the reverse osmosis membrane and becomes water production. The other path moves in parallel along the surface of the reverse osmosis membrane and gradually concentrates. The concentrated water contains a large amount of salt, even organic matters, colloids, microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, etc. During the normal operation of the reverse osmosis system, the feed water/concentrated water flows along the surface of the reverse osmosis membrane at a certain flow rate, and these pollutants are difficult to deposit, but if the reverse osmosis system stops operating, these pollutants will immediately deposit on the surface of the membrane, causing pollution to the membrane elements.

Cleaning method:

1. Stop the machine for cleaning

Small parts of the equipment that have been running for a long time are worn out, and if the worn parts are easy to cause damage to the equipment, the equipment shall be shut down periodically for simple maintenance and inspection, and then the equipment inside shall be cleaned.

2. Low-pressure flushing method can be selected

As the equipment runs for a long time, it will cause pollution and our equipment cannot operate normally. We should regularly and quantitatively flush the equipment with low pressure.

3. Chemical cleaning methods
